Imani McClendon, Newark ACT-SO student will be traveling to the Disney Dreamer Academy for a four day stay in Disney World.  The program is endorsed by Steve Harvey and Essence Magazine along with Disney World. 

Imani was chosen along with 99 other students to participate in workshops and activities that will support their dreams and aspirations.

Gloucester ACT-SO student gets recognized as Hometown Hero.

New Jersey's own Adele Ann Taylor of the Gloucester ACT-SO program was recently honored at the first Nick Teen Halo Awards.

The gala event hosted by Nick Cannon and sponsored by Target, honored teens who are working to make a difference in their respective communities.

Presented by Serena Williams, Adele was honored for her literary campaign, "Read All You Can."  The junior at Williamstown High School tutors younger children at her local library teaching them to read more and to understand what they read.  Many of the children have learned to love reading from their "Ms. Adele."

Taylor received multiple prizes including $10,000 for her program, $10,000 for college and $25,000 worth of books distributed throughout New Jersey by Target in her name as a hometown hero.

She is a two time NJ ACT-SO medalist in Entrepreneurship and a national medalist as well.  She was also featured on Black Girls Rock!

ACT-SO New Jersey is proud of the accomplishments of Adele Ann Taylor who is diligently working to make a positive difference in our community and world.
